Pre Sea Deck Cadets Course

Diploma in Nautical Science - IGNOU

TMI has started a one year Pre Sea Deck Cadet Course that will lead to a Diploma in Nautical Science from the Indira Gandhi National Open University. This course commenced in July 2006. This course is limited to company sposored candidates only.

TMI trains 120 cadets per year for this course. The eligibility criteria for sponsored cadets is the same as that for the B.S.N.T programme: minimum 60% PCM in 10+2 and required minimum medical/fitness standards.

In addition, the cadets need to be sponsored by a shipping company. There is no direct admission procedure into the course.
