GRADUATION- B.S.M.E. CLASS OF 2006 |
The graduation of the 5th batch
of TMI was held on the 19th of August 2006. 126
passing out cadets were awarded the degree on the occasion
by the Chief Guest, Dr.Venkateswaran, _Prof. Emeritus - BITS,
Pilani. The Chief Guest awarded the outstanding cadets with
prizes in various categories. The prize winners were as follows:-

guest of honour , Dr. L.K. Maheshwari , Vice Chancellor ,
BITS, Pilani enlightened the passing out cadets with words
of wisdom & conv  eyed
his best wishes to the institute. With never ending memories
of the past and an urge to commemorate the name of the alma
mater, the cadets bid adieu to the institute that had nurtured
them for 4 years. The ceremony was followed by a grand lunch
at the old hostel for the passing out cadets and their parents.
Yet again a whole new lot sets out of TMI, all prepared to
conquer the seas. ALL THE BEST!!

BAGS THE LLOYD'S LIST AWARD |
Tolani Maritime Institute was declared
the Winner of “ The 2006 Lloyds' List Middle East & Indian
Subcontinent Maritime Training & Development Award” in a
glittering function held on 08 Nov 2006 in the Ball Room of Hotel Madinat
Jumeirah, Dubai. Capt Raj Razdan, Provost, TMI received
the award on behalf of the institute from the hands of Maj. Gen. (Retd)
Sharafuddin Sharaf, Vice Chairman, Sharaf Group, Dubai.
 The
award was presented to TMI to mark the outstanding work of the institution
in the field of Maritime Education & Training.
The award recognizes TMI to be a leader in the field in
the area of its operation. With a 10 fold increase in its student
strength in the last 7 years, unparalleled infrastructure,
quality teaching standards, excellent placement record
and committed promoters, it was TMI all the way to the rostrum. All
those present praised the commitment and effort of Dr NP Tolani, founder
of Tolani Maritime Institute, and wished him success.
This is one of the most prestigious international award given to a Maritime
Training Institute and has brought credit not only to th Institute but
also to all the Indian seafarers.
