Alumni Dinner

Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) organized first alumni meet at C.K.Nayudu Banquet Hall CCI Churchgate, Mumbai on 09 Jun 2007. It was very much evident that TMI shares a strong bond with its past students .A large gathering of past students were proud enough to participate in the meeting with full vigour. TMI has produced hundreds of quality seafarers sailing across the globe and has made significant difference to the quality of manpower in marine world. It was right occasion for all of them to come together to share their nostalgia, experience and enjoy the moment to discover how TMI has grown with time. During the interaction with faculty members they agreed how TMI has changed their personality and lives to face the life at sea.

“All alumni of institute are important members of TMI community and are real flag bearers of TMI for their juniors” said Mr.B.K.Saxena, Principal TMI and also said “with your proven skills, dedication and commitment you can really pave the way for your juniors, so to keep TMI and Indian flag high and fluttering”

Beaming Captain Razdan Provost, TMI said “It is the proud moment for TMI to conduct alumni meet and to know and acknowledge that products of TMI have been well received in the Shipping community and are doing great jobs for their respective companies”. He also suggested how the feed back and inputs from members can help to evolve and set a curriculum meeting the demands of the Industry so that TMI continues to provide to current students what is required by the Industry.

Mr. D.D. Mundhra, Mr. I.K. Basu, Program Chair, Marine Engineering and Mr. Sanjeet Kanungo senior faculty of TMI also insisted on how the exchange of ideas is essential and could be useful between past and present students to build the gap in rapid change of technology.

Ms. Anjali Deshpande compered the meet. Mr. Kushal Chotrani, Second Engineer (Class of 2002 ) thanked all on behalf of Alumni. Mr.Nikhil Chandok (Class of 2002) was unanimously nominated as the Coordinator for the next meet.
