The Mission 

Tolani Maritime Institute is committed to be an instrument of positive changes in the maritime industry for the ultimate benefit of society.

TMI shall facilitate acquisition of right learning, right skill and the right attitudes, by all those who undertake education and training at the Institute.

The institute shall continue to expand its area of influence in the future by introducing educational programmes on diverse aspects of maritime activities to rightfully earn and maintain the character of a full-fledged maritime university.

The Policy

In the pursuit of this mission TMI shall:

• Consciously foster development of positive attitudes and harmony amongst the faculty and students so that knowledge is shared freely and without prejudice;
• Continuously upgrade its curricula in response to customer demands and emerging technology;
• Actively promote faculty development through research and facilitation for advanced qualifications;
• Effectively enhance the learning process by adopting modern methods and technology;
• Uncompromisingly maintain transparency to build confidence and healthy relationships with students, parents, industry and the community;
• Aggressively promote a pollution free physical environment conducive to the process of learning.
• Create conditions for prevention of all injuries and illness, environmental incidents, property losses and damage.
