Post Graduate Programme in Taxation
This is a one year part-time programme.
Students are introduced to the practical aspects of Taxation, wherein they can after the end of the course, set-up their own practice and can independently file tax returns and have enough knowledge to deal with direct and indirect taxes.

Taxation History & Economics
Principles of good tax systems, canons of taxation and tax jurisprudence.
Direct Tax (IT / FBT/ WT) - Tax Laws
Contains topics like: Exclusions, Heads of Income, Deductions, Rebate Computation of Total Income for corporate and non corporate assessee, FBT, Dividend Tax, TDS, Interest, Advance Tax Payment etc.)
Direct Tax (IT / FBT/ WT) - Tax Planning, Pleadings & Practice
Includes topics like corporate and non corporate Tax planning, Assessment, Appeal, Revision Rectification, penalty, prosecution, Recovery procedure and mechanism, settlement commission, transfer pricing, DTA, Non Resident Taxation etc. )
Indirect Tax – Service / Excise / Customs
Indirect Tax – VAT / CST
Principles for determination Inter-state Sales and Purchase Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 Incidence & Levy of Tax.
Practical Aspect of Accounts
Mainly Finalization of Accounts and preparing details for Tax Audit purpose.
Use of Information Technology, MS Office & Various Packages (Tally)
Internship
The programme includes with CA firms or Tax Lawyers Firm for 3 months and submission of project.
Eligibility
Commerce Graduate with minimum 50% marks in the TYB Com. exams.
