About Tolani College of CommerceHistory & OverviewThe Tolani College of Commerce (TCC) was established in 1989 by the Tolani Education Society to promote academic activities in the northeastern suburbs of Mumbai. Dr. N. P. Tolani, the founder of this institution, has followed the ideals of his father, the late Shri. Pribhdas S. Tolani, a great educationist and philanthropist who chose education as a field of activity and dedicated himself to it. Today, Mr. Rohet Tolani, Vice Chairman of the Tolani Group of Companies, takes an active interest in the educational institutions that have been set up by the family. The Tolani Education Foundation also runs the Tolani Institute of Management (TIM), Mumbai. TIM is situated within the premises of the Tolani College of Commerce and offers a number of Diploma level courses. Courses OfferedThe Tolani College of Commerce and the Tolani College of Management offer several courses: Junior CollegeThe Junior College course is a two year course equivalent to Standards XI and XII. Bachelor of CommerceThe Bachelors of Commerce course is a three year course. All B.Com. students take the same courses in years 1 and 2, and then specialise in either Accounts or Management in the third year. Bachelor in Management StudiesTolani College of Commerce was amongst the first few colleges that were granted permission by the University of Mumbai to conduct the Bachelor in Management Studies course when this degree course was introduced by the University in 1999. Bachelors of Commerce (Banking and Insurance)Tolani College of Commerce was amongst the first few colleges that were granted permission by the University of Mumbai to conduct the Bachelor in Banking and Insurance course and the course was started in the year 2007. Masters of Commerce (Accounts / Management)M.Com. is a 2 year self financing programme affiliated to Mumbai University. Specialisation is available in the subjects of Accountancy and Management.
