Eligibility - F.Y.J.C.
(First Year Junior College)
- A student who has passed the S.S.C. (Std X) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or any other examination recognised by the Board as the equivalent, is eligible for admission for the F.Y.J.C.(Std XI) class.
- The FYJC class has a total of 480 available seats, of which a certain number are reserved as per the rules issued by the government, and as explained on the Admissions page of this web site.
- Candidates seeking admission under Category II (a & b) should produce true copies of documentary evidence issued by the appropriate authorities of the government, failing which their claim for admission will not be entertained under the specified category.
- In the case of the 2% of seats reserved for Sports, Games & Cultural achievers, consideration will only be given to those who have stood first or second in competitions conducted at national, state or district levels by professional bodies sponsored by the government. Copies of certificates evidencing such participation, countersigned by the District Sports Officer (DSO), should be submitted along with the admission form.
- It is mandatory for students who have been admitted under the 2% Sports & Games category, to participate in college events and teams.
Merit lists will be put up on the college notice board. Candidates who are merit -listed for admission must complete the admission formalities by paying their fees and submitting the required documents within the time frame and schedule notified, failing which their claim for admission will stand forfeited. Admission in any category must be taken within the dates and time frame stipulated by the government.
All admissions are provisional until confirmed by the appropriate authorities.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
A prescribed application form is available at the College office.
Admission details like dates, etc. are put up on the college notice board.
I.C.S.E. , C.B.S.E. , and students from a statutory Board outside Maharashtra must obtain a certificate of eligibility from the Divisional Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Sion(East),Mumbai-400 022.
A valid Leaving Certificate from the last institution attended will have to be submitted.
Admission is valid for one particular term only and is co-terminus with that academic term.
Admission to any term cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
Documents required for admission :
- Original Marksheet of S.S.C/I.S.C.E/C.B.S.E/Other Examination.
- 2 xerox copies of above.
- Original School Leaving Certificate with one xerox copy of the same.
- One passport size and one stamp size photograph.
- Valid caste certificate in case of Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Backward Class/Other Backward Class students.
- Eligibility Certificate if applicable
