Campus LifeAssociations & SocietiesTolani College of Commerce gives importance to extra-curricular activities and shapes a student in different ways through its various associations. Each association is independent and is managed/supervised by a professor. A nominal fee may be charged as membership fee for becoming a member of a particular association. For further details kindly contact the college office. Cultural AssociationThe Cultural Association promotes talent by organizing activities like Singing , Dancing , and Drama Competition. They are mainly involved in organizing the annual day. Along with showcasing our vibrant culture through dance and song, the artistic talents of our students- Drawing, painting, mehandi, cooking, rangoli, greeting card making ,candle making are enthusiastically promoted. Nature ClubIt is active in basic astronomy by organizing lectures and visits to planetorium, fields observation, talks on activities of W.W.F. and wildlife of Mumbai. Demonstration of adventure activities like rock climbing, rapelling , rescue etc. It also organizes field trips and nature camps. N.C.C.The college does not have a independent NCC detachment but our students are yet active. Some students are with 1. Maha Naval unit of NCC and the Girls Bn with MULV college unit. We have had students who have brought accolades by participating in various activities and camps. N.S.S.The National Service Scheme of our college works for social causes and awareness. Volunteers are involved in extension services in the adopted area of Sher-E-Punjab and nearby slums. Planning and Economic ForumThis is formed to create awareness about topical economic, social and political issues. Maths and Computer AssociationThis is to help commerce students to apply their mathematical knowledge in the field of finance and management. English Literary AssociationIt gives a platform to students to voice their views through activities like Elocution, Essay Writing, Debates and Group discussions. Music ClubIt gives an opportunity to students to showcase their musical talents through singing and playing instruments. The college band performs under this banner. Students CouncilStudents Council is a mandatory body set up to promote and co-ordinate the extra-curricular activities of different students associations. It is a platform that provides an opportunity to the students to independently undertake and organize various activities, to use their creative skills and ideas thereby leading to self development and development of society. Marathi Vangmaya MandalIt was initiated to showcase the talents of Marathi speaking people. It conducts many programs to promote Marathi language and culture. Hindi Sahitya MandalIt was initiated to showcase the talents of Hindi speaking people. It conducts many programs to promote Hindi language and culture. They also organize Intercollegiate dance and singing competitions. The “Kavi Sammelan” is the highlight of this association. College Women’s Development Cell (CWDC)The college has established the College Women’s Development Cell in August 2005. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for creating social awareness about the problems of women (in particular gender discrimination) and providing guidelines for redressal of grievances. Eureka (BMS)It is a student association formed with the objective of inter class interaction and to promote healthy competition on various managerial issues. Alumni AssociationPunjabi AssociationSindhi CircleIt was formed to promote Sindhi Culture and Sindhi language among the students through various programs like debates, elocution, essay and poem writing competition. Gujarati Sahitya MandalThis is an association that organizes activities to promote the customs and traditions of Punjabi and Gujarati students and also organizes literature activities like debate, Essay writing and food festival.
